LGALS8，即半乳糖凝集素8，別名Gal-8、PCTA1、PCTA-1、Po66-CBP。它是由人類LGALS8基因編碼的蛋白質(zhì)，屬于半乳糖凝集素家族。半乳糖凝集素是一類能夠結(jié)合β-半乳糖苷的動(dòng)物凝集素，具有保守的碳水化合物識(shí)別結(jié)構(gòu)域，涉及許多基本生物學(xué)功能，如發(fā)育、分化、細(xì)胞間粘附、細(xì)胞與基質(zhì)的相互作用、生長(zhǎng)調(diào)節(jié)、細(xì)胞凋亡和RNA剪接。LGALS8能夠誘導(dǎo)腫瘤免疫抑制，通過(guò)分析動(dòng)物模型和臨床數(shù)據(jù)發(fā)現(xiàn)，LGALS8表達(dá)的腫瘤中，抑制性免疫細(xì)胞（如Tregs和MDSCs）擴(kuò)增，而CD8+細(xì)胞減少，直接證明了LGALS8調(diào)節(jié)腫瘤免疫微環(huán)境的能力。此外，LGALS8與淋巴結(jié)轉(zhuǎn)移和免疫表型相關(guān)，其表達(dá)水平與腫瘤的預(yù)后和進(jìn)展有關(guān)，表明它在腫瘤發(fā)展中的重要作用。
